Regions Financial is reshuffling three top leadership roles as Chief Administrative Officer Dave Keenan prepares to retire at the end of 2026 after more than 20 years with the company.
Kate Danella, who has led Consumer Banking since 2022, will move into the chief administrative officer post. John Jordan, who joined Regions in 2024 as head of Retail, will take over Consumer Banking. Chief People Officer Angela Santone will begin reporting directly to CEO John Turner.
Keenan has been chief administrative officer since 2020 and previously ran Human Resources for 10 years. He joined Regions’ predecessor, AmSouth, in 2003. Regions said his work helped support the bank’s workplace culture and leadership development pipeline.
Danella has been with Regions since 2015. Her roles have included Wealth Strategy and Effectiveness Executive, head of Regions Private Wealth Management, Chief Strategy and Client Experience Officer, and then head of Consumer Banking. In her new role, she will oversee Strategic Planning, Digital Banking, Core Platform Modernization and Transformation, Community and Market Engagement, Corporate Marketing and Communications, and Customer Advocacy.
Jordan brings more than 20 years of experience from Bank of America, where he held senior roles in retail banking, strategy, client experience, and talent development. At Regions, he is credited with accelerating branch-banking growth across the company’s 15-state retail footprint, strengthening service and performance for small-business clients, and expanding career growth opportunities for retail associates while reducing turnover.
Santone joined Regions in 2025 after more than two decades in human resources at Turner Broadcasting System and AT&T. Regions said her work has focused on recruiting and retaining talent, coordinating with business groups to improve performance, and increasing associate engagement.
The leadership changes take effect immediately. Keenan moves into a leadership advisory role beginning Sept. 1 and will remain involved through the end of the year. Regions said it has $161 billion in assets, operates more than 1,200 banking offices and more than 1,750 ATMs, and serves customers across the South, Midwest, and Texas. As a result of these announcements, the company's shares have moved -0.08% on the market, and are now trading at a price of $31.435. Check out the company's full 8-K submission here.
