News Corp said it had bought back 10,596,699 shares in the latest reporting period, paying a total of US$270.8 million, according to its daily buy-back notification.
The company also reported that on the prior day it repurchased 62,323 shares for US$1.78 million. That compares with 10,596,699 shares and US$270.8 million in the earlier period shown in the filing.
Under its 2025 repurchase program, News Corp said it is authorized to buy back up to US$1 billion of its Nasdaq-listed Class A and Class B common stock. To date, it has spent about US$417.98 million on the program, leaving roughly US$582.02 million of capacity remaining.
The filing said the program covers Class A and Class B common stock and that no ASX-listed CDIs will be repurchased. The highest price paid in the latest buyback period was US$30.79, while the lowest was US$22.20.
