Honeywell Technologies is reshuffling two of its operating businesses with internal promotions that build on recent performance gains.
Billal Hammoud, who has led Building Automation since 2023, will become president and CEO of Process Technology on Oct. 1, replacing Ken West, who is leaving Aug. 31. Juan Picon, currently president of Building Automation Americas, will take over as president and CEO of Building Automation on the same date.
The move comes after Hammoud’s run in Building Automation produced a jump in annual organic sales growth from 2% in 2023 to 8% in 2025. Over that span, the business posted seven straight quarters of high-single-digit organic growth and margin expansion. Honeywell said Hammoud also helped drive the integration of its $4.95 billion Access Solutions acquisition.
Picon’s promotion follows a year in which he expanded Honeywell’s Fire Life Safety business after rejoining the company in 2024, then took on Building Automation Americas. Honeywell said he helped strengthen customer engagement in the region and shifted the business toward higher-growth areas including healthcare, hospitality and data centers while accelerating adoption of Forge.
The company also disclosed a year-over-year improvement in Building Automation’s reported sales growth in its reconciliation table: reported sales growth rose to 13% for the 12 months ended Dec. 31, 2025, from 1% in the prior period. Organic sales growth improved to 8% from 2% over the same comparison. The market has reacted to these announcements by moving the company's shares -1.01% to a price of $225.40.
