The Buckle said second-quarter net income slipped to $44.4 million, or $0.88 per share, from $45.0 million, or $0.90 per share, a year earlier.
Net sales for the 13-week period ended Aug. 1 rose 4.6% to $319.8 million from $305.7 million. Comparable store sales increased 2.1%. Online sales climbed 2.3% to $44.6 million from $43.6 million.
For the first 26 weeks of fiscal 2026, net sales increased 5.3% to $608.6 million from $577.9 million. Comparable store sales rose 3.5%. Online sales advanced 2.5% to $92.2 million from $90.0 million.
For the 26-week period, net income increased to $91.3 million, or $1.80 per share, from $80.2 million, or $1.60 per share, a year ago.
At quarter end, Buckle operated 446 stores in 42 states, up from 440 stores in 42 states at the end of the second quarter of fiscal 2025.
