Synaptics said Chief Financial Officer Ken Rizvi resigned effective immediately, ending a tenure that will continue in an advisory capacity through Sept. 30, 2026.
The company said it will not begin a search for a replacement CFO because of the pending merger with onsemi announced June 25, 2026. President and CEO Rahul Patel will serve as principal financial officer until the deal closes.
Synaptics also said Kermit Nolan, its former chief accounting officer, is returning as a consultant to support the internal team during the transition. Nolan previously spent 20 years at the company and has also served as acting CFO.
Patel said the company’s finance organization is “strong and experienced” and that its strategic priorities remain focused on edge AI and physical AI markets. The announcement did not include financial figures, but it marked a shift in leadership responsibility as the merger process advances. Today the company's shares have moved -0.5% to a price of $97.51. Check out the company's full 8-K submission here.
