Insteel Industries said it will shut its Upper Sandusky, Ohio facility and shift production to its other welded wire reinforcement plants, which it said have enough open capacity to absorb the work.
The closure will eliminate up to 65 jobs. Operations at the Ohio plant are expected to end by the end of October 2026.
Insteel said it expects about $4.6 million in restructuring charges tied to the shutdown.
The company said the move is intended to align its manufacturing footprint with customer demand and improve efficiency. It added that it does not expect the closure to affect revenue. Following these announcements, the company's shares moved 1.84%, and are now trading at a price of $30.92. If you want to know more, read the company's complete 8-K report here.
