Insteel Industries said it will shut its Upper Sandusky, Ohio facility and shift production to its other welded wire reinforcement plants, which it said have enough spare capacity to absorb the volume.
The closure is expected to eliminate up to 65 positions. Operations at the Ohio plant are slated to end by the end of October 2026.
Insteel said it expects about $4.6 million in restructuring charges tied to the shutdown.
The company said the move is designed to align its manufacturing footprint with customer demand and improve efficiency. It also said the closure is not expected to affect revenue. Following these announcements, the company's shares moved 1.84%, and are now trading at a price of $30.92. If you want to know more, read the company's complete 8-K report here.
