United Fire Group declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.20 per share, unchanged from the prior payout level implied by the release, and set the payment date for Sept. 18, 2026, to shareholders of record on Sept. 4, 2026.
The company also expanded its board to 12 members with the appointment of Teresa “Terri” Brown as an independent Class C director, effective Aug. 21, 2026. Brown will serve on the board’s risk management and audit committees.
Brown brings more than 35 years in property and casualty insurance. Most recently, she was executive vice president and chief financial officer at Grange Insurance from 2016 until her retirement in 2024. Before that, she served as chief risk officer at Allstate and Aviva USA, and held senior roles at Allstate, Deloitte Consulting, Safeco Insurance and Travelers Insurance.
The dividend marks another step in a payout history that dates back to March 1968. United Fire Group said it is represented by about 850 independent agencies and is licensed in 50 states and the District of Columbia. Following these announcements, the company's shares moved -0.47%, and are now trading at a price of $53.02. For more information, read the company's full 8-K submission here.
