Protolabs Appoints Sam Ramahi as COO

Protolabs named Sam Ramahi chief operations officer, effective Aug. 31, 2026, adding a senior executive with more than 25 years of manufacturing and supply-chain leadership experience as the company pushes further into production work.

Ramahi will oversee global operations, supply chain, quality, sourcing and continuous improvement, reporting to CEO Suresh Krishna, who will keep ultimate oversight of operations.

The company said Ramahi most recently ran North America operations at SIG Group, where he led a 1,300-person organization across five manufacturing facilities generating $700 million in annual revenue. During that role, he improved delivery performance, sped up customer corrective-action response times and optimized inventory management.

Before SIG Group, Ramahi was chief operating officer of Jacuzzi Group. His earlier leadership roles included positions at nVent, Eaton, Cooper Industries, Honeywell and GE Healthcare.

Protolabs said Ramahi’s appointment is intended to support its strategy of serving customers from prototype to production while improving safety, quality, delivery and cost performance. As a result of these announcements, the company's shares have moved -3.18% on the market, and are now trading at a price of $77.08. Check out the company's full 8-K submission here.
