Gevo said it is expanding executive responsibilities as it pushes harder on commercial execution, its North Dakota buildout and growth plans, while targeting more than $60 million in adjusted EBITDA in 2026.
The company said Greg Hanselman is now chief operating officer, Kyle James is now chief commercial and risk officer, and Dave Kettner is now chief legal and emerging business officer, effective Aug. 20.
Hanselman will oversee operations and engineering, with responsibility for safety, reliability and operational excellence. Gevo said his focus includes increasing production volumes, optimizing plant costs and reducing carbon intensity.
James will continue leading the commercial organization while taking on enterprise risk management, commercial execution and market expansion. Gevo said the role is meant to connect customer demand with commercial strategy across low-carbon fuels, carbon markets and specialty products.
Kettner will remain general counsel while adding responsibility for emerging business portfolio commercialization, strategic partnerships, licensing and new venture development, along with government affairs and the sustainability, compliance and regulatory team.
Gevo said the leadership changes are aimed at delivering near-term adjusted EBITDA growth from Gevo North Dakota and existing assets, while building a larger platform in low-carbon ethanol, carbon management and advanced biofuels, including sustainable aviation fuel. As a result of these announcements, the company's shares have moved -2.96% on the market, and are now trading at a price of $1.64. Check out the company's full 8-K submission here.
