Micron Technology Reshapes Leadership Team

Micron Technology said it has reshaped its top leadership team, promoting Manish Bhatia to president and chief operating officer and Dr. Scott DeBoer to president and chief technology and products officer, effective immediately.

Bhatia, who joined Micron in 2017, previously led global operations covering manufacturing, factory construction, supply chain, procurement, quality, information technology, artificial intelligence and government affairs. In his new role, he will oversee global operations and business units, including the company’s operating P&L, capital investment, manufacturing execution, and customer demand, pricing and delivery.

DeBoer, with Micron since 1995, will now oversee the company’s technology and product roadmap and Micron Research Labs. Micron said he has helped deliver 15 technology nodes during his tenure.

Micron also said Sumit Sadana, executive vice president and chief business officer, has moved into a senior advisor role to the CEO.

The company framed the changes around AI-driven demand for higher-performance memory and more differentiated products, including customer-specific memory solutions, and said the new structure is intended to align operations, technology and customer needs more tightly. The market has reacted to these announcements by moving the company's shares 0.72% to a price of $939.67. Check out the company's full 8-K submission here.
