NEWS CORP (NWSA) Announces $1 Billion Buyback Program

News Corporation said it bought back 11,243,842 shares before the previous day and a further 50,801 shares on the previous day, spending US$289.8 million and US$1.57 million respectively.

The company’s 2025 repurchase program authorizes up to US$1 billion of its Nasdaq-listed Class A and Class B common stock. To date, News Corp has purchased about US$446.1 million of stock under the program, leaving roughly US$553.9 million still available.

The buyback covers only Class A and Class B common stock; no ASX-listed CDIs are included. Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC is acting as broker for the program. The highest price paid in the latest activity was US$31.01 on 25 August 2026, while the lowest price paid since the program began was US$22.20 on 9 February 2026. The company said the anticipated date for the buyback activity was 22 September 2021. Today the company's shares have moved -0.48% to a price of $30.81.
