News Corp stepped up its 2025 share repurchase program with another day of buying, taking the total amount spent to about US$458.3 million out of the US$1 billion authorization.
On Sept. 2, 2026, the company bought back 54,641 shares for US$1.685 million. That followed a much larger tranche the day before, when it repurchased 11.51 million shares for US$297.9 million.
The latest filing shows News Corp’s Class A stock buybacks have been conducted at prices ranging from US$22.20 to US$31.58, with the most recent highest price paid at US$31.32 and the lowest at US$30.54 on Sept. 2. The company said it has 360,199,332 Class A common shares on issue.
Under the program, News Corp can buy back up to an aggregate of US$1 billion of its Nasdaq-listed Class A and Class B common stock. No ASX-listed CDIs are included in the repurchases.
