ABERCROMBIE & FITCH CO /DE/ has recently released its 10-Q report. The company operates as an omnichannel retailer across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Asia-Pacific region, selling apparel, personal care products and accessories for men, women and kids. In Item 2, management says its discussion and analysis is intended to help investors evaluate operating performance by excluding items it believes may not reflect future results. The company highlights comparable sales as a key measure, defined as the year-over-year change in sales from stores open at least one year, adjusted for currency, plus digital net sales, excluding other revenue. Management says this metric helps separate growth from existing locations from changes tied to store openings or closures.
Abercrombie also presents non-GAAP measures including constant-currency sales, operating income, net income per share, EBITDA and adjusted EBITDA. For the 13 weeks ended August 1, 2026, net sales were $1.267 billion, up 5% from $1.209 billion a year earlier; on a constant-currency basis, sales were still up 5%. Operating income rose to $252.7 million from $206.7 million, while net income per share attributable to A&F increased to $4.17 from $2.91.
For the 26-week period, net sales reached $2.381 billion, up 3% from $2.306 billion, and constant-currency sales were also up 3%. The company’s EBITDA for the quarter was $296.0 million, compared with $244.1 million a year earlier, and adjusted EBITDA was also $296.0 million after excluding the prior-year litigation settlement. For the half year, EBITDA was $427.1 million versus $384.2 million, with adjusted EBITDA at $427.1 million versus $345.6 million.
