VICI Properties Appoints John M. Sullivan as Independent Director

VICI Properties said it will appoint John M. Sullivan as an independent director, expanding the board to eight members once regulatory approvals are received.

Sullivan spent more than 25 years at Cadillac Fairview, including a stretch as president and chief executive officer from January 2011 until his retirement in October 2023. Before that, he held senior development and asset management roles at Cadillac Fairview and earlier executive positions at Brookfield Properties, Marathon Realty Company Limited and First Quebec Corporation.

He will join VICI’s compensation committee and nominating and governance committee.

VICI said Sullivan also serves on the boards of Colliers International and EQ Bank, and on the board of trustees of SickKids in Toronto.

The company’s portfolio includes 103 experiential assets, made up of 63 gaming properties and 40 other experiential properties across the U.S. and Canada. It said the portfolio spans about 130 million square feet and includes roughly 66,000 hotel rooms and more than 700 restaurants, bars, nightclubs and sportsbooks.
