Teleflex appointed veteran medical technology executive Sean M. Salmon to its board of directors, effective Sept. 8, 2026.
Salmon brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in medical devices and pharmaceuticals, including more than 20 years at Medtronic. Most recently, he was executive vice president and president of Medtronic’s cardiovascular portfolio, a business that generated about $12.5 billion in fiscal 2025 revenue. He also led Medtronic’s diabetes business from 2019 to 2022, its coronary and structural heart businesses from 2014 to 2019, and its coronary and renal denervation businesses from 2011 to 2014.
With Salmon’s addition, Teleflex said one-third of its board has been refreshed in 2026. The board now has nine directors, eight of them independent.
Salmon will join the board’s growth and operating committee, which Teleflex said was created earlier this year to support its strategic transformation, including efforts to improve operational execution, identify growth opportunities and increase accountability.
He currently serves as an independent director of Adagio Medical Holdings and has been owner of Zamboni Holdings since December 2025. Teleflex said he will bring experience across capital allocation, portfolio strategy and operational execution. The market has reacted to these announcements by moving the company's shares -0.94% to a price of $135.71. If you want to know more, read the company's complete 8-K report here.
