SS Innovations said its SSI Mantra surgical robotic system has now been installed in 12 countries after a recent deployment in Sri Lanka, up from its prior footprint that included India and other markets.
The company reported that cumulative installed systems reached 238 as of Sept. 8, 2026, a 42% increase from 168 at the end of 2025. Multi-specialty procedures completed with the system rose to 14,103 from 7,885 at the end of 2025, a 79% increase.
Pediatric use continued to build, with 258 cumulative pediatric robotic surgeries completed as of Aug. 31, 2026. The company highlighted a robotic pyeloplasty performed on a 45-day-old baby in India on Aug. 14.
Telesurgery activity also expanded. As of Aug. 31, 2026, the company said 188 robotic telesurgeries had been completed with SSI Mantra. On July 29, it said surgeons used the system for a remote procedure spanning more than 13,600 miles of fiber network distance between Colombia and India, which it described as a new distance record. On Sept. 5, it said the first telesurgery within the Philippines was completed over a distance of about 1,070 miles.
Utilization milestones included 50 robot-assisted surgeries in a single day on Aug. 15 at Mohak Bariatrics and Robotics in Indore, India, using five SSI Mantra systems. The company also said multiple practices and hospitals are now crossing 50-, 100* and 200-plus procedure marks.
SS Innovations said about 1,500 physicians have been trained on the platform, which has been used for more than 170 different types of surgical procedures.
