News Corporation said it had repurchased 11,786,414 shares before the previous day and another 58,482 shares on the previous day, taking total consideration paid or payable to US$306.4 million and US$1.7 million, respectively.
The company’s 2025 repurchase program authorizes up to US$1 billion of its Nasdaq-listed Class A and Class B stock. To date, it has bought back approximately US$471.0 million worth of those shares, leaving about US$529.0 million of capacity remaining.
The latest filing said the highest price paid was US$31.58 a share, while the lowest price paid was US$22.20. The most recent daily purchase price was US$29.63, compared with US$29.08 on the earlier day.
News Corp said the buyback covers Class A common stock and Class B common stock, with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC acting as broker. No ASX-listed CDIs are included in the program.
