News Corporation reported that its buy-back activity accelerated sharply in the latest update, with 58,482 securities repurchased on the previous day for US$1.72 million, compared with 11,844,896 securities bought back before that day for US$308.11 million.
The company said it has now spent approximately US$473.57 million under its 2025 Repurchase Program, which authorizes up to US$1 billion of Nasdaq-listed Class A and Class B stock. That leaves roughly US$526.43 million available under the program.
The latest filing also updated the buy-back timetable, showing the anticipated date for the buy-back as 22 September 2021, and identified Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC as the broker handling the repurchases. The company said the highest price paid so far was US$31.58, on 27 August 2026, while the lowest was US$22.20, on 9 February 2026.
