NEWS CORP SPENDS $311.5M ON SHARE BUYBACKS

News Corporation said it had repurchased 11,903,378 shares before the previous day and a further 54,641 shares on the previous day, bringing total buyback activity to 11,958,019 shares.

The company said it paid US$309.8 million for the larger batch and US$1.66 million for the smaller one, for total consideration of US$311.5 million across those two reporting periods.

Under its 2025 repurchase program, News Corp has authorization to buy back up to US$1 billion of its Nasdaq-listed Class A and Class B stock. It said that, to date, it has purchased about US$476.0 million worth of those shares, leaving roughly US$524.0 million of capacity remaining.

The company’s latest daily filing showed the highest price paid for shares was US$31.58, while the lowest price paid was US$22.20. The buyback is being handled by Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC.
