Huntington Bancshares said it ended June 30, 2026 with $284 billion in assets, $189 billion in loans and $222 billion in deposits, underscoring the scale it brought to the 2026 Barclays Global Financial Services Conference.
The bank highlighted a transformation from 2015 to 2026 that took loans from $50 billion to $189 billion and deposits from $55 billion to $222 billion. Over that same span, its footprint expanded from seven Midwest states to 21 states, while it added a broader national commercial and specialty-lending platform.
The company said its commercial businesses now span 17 national specialty verticals, compared with four national specialty commercial verticals in 2015. It also said commercial clients now operate in all 50 states, versus a more limited national presence a decade earlier.
Huntington also pointed to a larger value-added fee business mix. Its earlier setup included narrow payments functionality, limited wealth management and a capital-markets platform focused on risk-management products. By 2026, it said it had built a comprehensive payments suite, a wealth and private banking platform, and full-service capital markets capabilities covering M&A advisory, risk management, and capital raising and distribution.
On growth trends, the bank said average loan growth from 4Q24 to 2Q26 ran at a 7.6% compound annual rate, compared with a 3.1% peer median. Average deposit growth over the same period was 4.1%, versus a 0.5% peer median.
Huntington said that loan growth was driven by $9 billion from commercial verticals, $2.7 billion from regional banking, $1.6 billion from vehicle finance and $1.2 billion from middle market lending. On the deposit side, it cited $3 billion from commercial verticals, with core deposit growth of $10 billion from commercial and $6 billion from consumer. Following these announcements, the company's shares moved -5.88%, and are now trading at a price of $15.765. Check out the company's full 8-K submission here.
