News Corporation said it bought back 54,641 shares on the previous trading day for US$1.66 million, after repurchasing 12.01 million shares in the prior period for US$313.16 million.
The company said it has now spent about US$480.94 million under its 2025 repurchase program, which authorizes up to US$1 billion of Nasdaq-listed Class A and Class B stock. That leaves roughly US$519.06 million still available under the plan.
The daily buy-back update showed the company’s Class A share count at 359,720,370. The program is being handled by Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, and the company said it expects to continue buying in the open market or otherwise, depending on market conditions.
The highest price paid in the buyback program so far was US$31.58 on Aug. 27, 2026, while the lowest was US$22.20 on Feb. 9, 2026. The most recent day’s purchase price was US$30.64, compared with US$29.96 on the prior day. The market has reacted to these announcements by moving the company's shares 0.15% to a price of $30.235.
