Amerant Bancorp Launches Senior Notes Offering

Amerant Bancorp said it has launched a registered public offering of senior notes due 2031, adding another financing move that could support lending growth, debt repayment and share buybacks.

The company did not disclose the size of the deal or pricing terms, saying those details will depend on market conditions. The notes will be unsecured and unsubordinated, ranking equally with Amerant’s other unsecured debt and ahead of subordinated debt.

Amerant said it plans to use the proceeds for general corporate purposes, including working capital, capital to support organic growth at Amerant Bank, repayment of outstanding indebtedness and repurchases of Class A common stock under its buyback program.

Raymond James & Associates is serving as sole book-running manager for the offering. The market has reacted to these announcements by moving the company's shares -1.37% to a price of $29.1753. Check out the company's full 8-K submission here.
