Okta appoints Helen Riley to the Board

Okta named Helen Riley to its board of directors, effective Sept. 18, 2026, and said Emilie Choi stepped down from the board on Sept. 14, 2026.

Riley is chief financial officer and chief operating officer at X, the research and development company within Alphabet. She joined X in 2015 as vice president and CFO and took on her expanded role in 2023. Before that, she held senior finance roles at Alphabet and Google, including senior finance director of global marketing from 2013 to 2015 and finance director of global G&A from 2011 to 2013.

Her board experience includes Eventbrite, where she served from July 2018 to April 2026, and Marqeta, where she served from May 2020 to June 2025.
