AMC Reports Surge in Box Office and Revenue

The company reported a sharp jump in two-month performance through Aug. 31, 2026, with North American box office rising to $2.46 billion from $1.83 billion a year earlier, an increase of $636.1 million, or 34.8%.

Revenue also climbed significantly. Consolidated total revenue reached $1.33 billion, up from $937.2 million in the prior-year period, a gain of $397.6 million, or 42.2%.

Attendance increased to 58.2 million from 42.8 million, up 15.4 million patrons, or 35.9%.

Per-patron spending also improved across the board. Admissions revenue per patron rose to $12.89 from $12.14, up 6.2%. Food and beverage revenue per patron increased to $7.90 from $7.70, up 2.6%. Other theatre revenue per patron advanced to $2.14 from $2.04, up 4.9%. Total revenue per patron climbed to $22.93 from $21.88, up 4.8%.

Cash and cash equivalents stood at $832.5 million as of Aug. 31, 2026, excluding restricted cash of $40.9 million.
