News Corp Spends $486 Million on Share Repurchase Program

News Corp has now spent about US$485.97 million on its 2025 share repurchase program, leaving roughly US$514.03 million of the US$1 billion authorization still available.

The company reported that, as of the previous day, it had bought back 12,121,942 shares for US$316,468,492.93 before that date, and a further 58,482 shares for US$1,739,974.01 on the latest prior day. Combined, that brings total repurchases under the program to approximately US$485.97 million.

In the latest filing, News Corp said the program covers Nasdaq-listed Class A and Class B common stock, with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC acting as broker. The company did not specify a fixed price ceiling for the repurchases, but reported the highest price paid so far was US$31.58, on Aug. 27, 2026, and the lowest was US$22.20, on Feb. 9, 2026.

News Corp said it had 359,443,324 shares on issue in the class covered by the buyback. The company indicated the repurchases are being made to enhance shareholder value.
