MeiraGTx appoints healthcare investor Alan M. Sebulsky to board

MeiraGTx Holdings PLC named Alan M. Sebulsky to its board of directors, adding a healthcare investor with more than 40 years of experience in biopharmaceutical investing, financial strategy and board leadership.

Sebulsky most recently spent 14 years as partner and portfolio manager at Adage Capital Management, where he led a diversified biopharmaceutical portfolio with more than $2 billion in assets. Before that, he founded Apothecary Capital, a healthcare-focused asset manager, and reestablished it in April 2026, where he now serves as managing member.

He currently sits on the board of Parabilis Medicines and has previously served on the boards and audit committees of Jazz Pharmaceuticals and Arrow International, along with three private healthcare companies backed by Apothecary Capital.

MeiraGTx said the appointment comes as the company continues its shift toward commercialization. The company has four late-stage clinical programs in its pipeline, spanning eye diseases, radiation-induced xerostomia and Parkinson’s disease, and it also highlighted its manufacturing base, including two facilities licensed for GMP viral vector production and a GMP QC facility with clinical and commercial licensure.

The company also pointed to its riboswitch platform, which it is advancing for regulated in vivo delivery of metabolic peptides including GLP-1, GIP, glucagon, amylin, PYY and leptin, as well as for cell therapy, CAR-T and pain targets. Today the company's shares have moved -4.53% to a price of $11.79. If you want to know more, read the company's complete 8-K report here.
