Morningstar said it has added five new directors to its board since 2017, with Anne Bramman joining in early 2026 as the most recent addition. The company also said Gail Landis stepped down at the 2026 annual shareholders’ meeting after 13 years of board service and reaching the company’s mandatory retirement age of 73.
On capital allocation, Morningstar said its priorities remain unchanged: preserving a strong balance sheet, investing in organic growth, pursuing acquisitions when they can create long-term shareholder value, growing its dividend over time, and repurchasing shares opportunistically.
On board composition, Morningstar said four of its eight independent directors have served 10 years or more, and that its Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee regularly reviews board skills, experience, and refreshment opportunities. The market has reacted to these announcements by moving the company's shares -1.95% to a price of $196.41. If you want to know more, read the company's complete 8-K report here.
