Teledyne Vice Chairman to Retire After 27 Years

Teledyne Technologies said Vice Chairman Jason VanWees will retire on Feb. 1, 2027, at age 55, after more than 27 years with the company and 6 years in the vice chairman role. The company named Mary Grace DeForest, currently senior vice president and general manager of Teledyne Microwave, as corporate vice president of investor relations and mergers and acquisitions, effective Nov. 1, 2026.

VanWees helped identify and acquire 75 businesses for a combined $12.8 billion. During the period he helped oversee the company’s capital allocation, Teledyne said its sales increased about 8 times and its market capitalization rose more than 100 times. The company also said it delivered compound annual shareholder returns of more than 17% over nearly 27 years as an independent company.

DeForest has been with Teledyne since 2011, starting as a manufacturing engineer before taking on roles across Teledyne Marine, Digital Imaging and Defense Electronics. In her current post, she oversees businesses with 880 employees and annual revenue of $320 million. Today the company's shares have moved 0.35% to a price of $614.15.
