City Holding Co Adds Jessica Alsop to Board

City Holding Company has added Jessica Alsop to its board of directors, effective immediately, and she is set to stand for election at the company’s annual meeting in April 2027.

Alsop is being positioned for a Class I board seat, with a term expected to run through the annual meeting in 2030. She has served since 2019 as senior vice president and chief legal officer at West Virginia University Health System, where she has worked since 2015. Before that, she was assistant vice president and senior corporate counsel at the health system, spent time as in-house counsel at Noble Energy, and practiced for 12 years at Jackson Kelly.

The appointment brings a legal and governance background to a board overseeing a $6.8 billion bank holding company. City Holding’s banking subsidiary, City National Bank of West Virginia, operates 95 branches across West Virginia, Kentucky, Virginia and Ohio.

Alsop holds an undergraduate degree from West Virginia University, a law degree from WVU College of Law and an LL.M. in Taxation from New York University School of Law. She also serves as vice chair of The Education Alliance board and has previously held board roles with United Way of Monongalia & Preston Counties, Children’s Therapy Clinic and the University of Charleston.
