Verra Mobility Appoints New CEO, Shares Drop 3.55%

Verra Mobility said it has appointed Jon Newhard as president and chief executive officer, effective Nov. 1, 2026, replacing interim CEO Jon Keyser.

Newhard comes to the company after serving as chief executive officer of Yunex Traffic GmbH, and before that held CEO roles at Clinc and Advanced Traffic Solutions, also known as Trafficware. He previously was general manager of Cubic ITS and has served as chairman of Miovision.

The leadership change comes after Keyser has led the company on an interim basis since June 2026. Verra said Keyser will remain in an advisory role during the transition before departing.

The board said the search was conducted with Spencer Stuart.

Verra did not disclose compensation terms for Newhard or give updated operating metrics alongside the appointment announcement. As a result of these announcements, the company's shares have moved -3.55% on the market, and are now trading at a price of $2.99. For more information, read the company's full 8-K submission here.
