Navitas Semiconductor Expands with Claros Acquisition

Navitas Semiconductor closed its acquisition of Claros on Oct. 6, adding integrated voltage regulator technology aimed at AI data centers and extending its power-delivery lineup from the grid to the XPU.

The company said the deal completes its high-power portfolio with Claros’ IVR stack, which combines power transistors, digital control, inductors and capacitors into one system. Navitas said the technology is designed to support vertical power delivery and embedded power delivery architectures, moving power conversion closer to the processor to improve efficiency, transient response and power density.

Navitas said the acquisition more than doubles its identified 2030 serviceable addressable market to over $8 billion. That figure includes at least $3.5 billion from the vertical power delivery and IVR markets, on top of Navitas’ existing $3.5 billion SAM for GaN and high-voltage/ultra-high-voltage silicon carbide, plus about $1 billion from its new JFET technology.

The company framed the deal as part of its “Navitas 2.0” transformation, saying the combination of GaN, HV and UHV SiC, and now IVR, is meant to address the efficiency and power-density bottlenecks in AI infrastructure. Navitas said the move deepens its engagement with hyperscalers and AI power platform providers and expands its role across the full grid-to-XPU power chain.

Navitas also said it will host a webinar on Oct. 20 at 8:00 a.m. Pacific time, featuring President and CEO Chris Allexandre, Chief Marketing Officer Llew Vaughan-Edmunds and Dan Kultran, now vice president and general manager of the IVR business unit and former Clarios co-founder and CEO. As a result of these announcements, the company's shares have moved -0.48% on the market, and are now trading at a price of $12.34. Check out the company's full 8-K submission here.
