Penguin Solutions said it appointed Stephen Cumming as senior vice president and chief financial officer, effective immediately, as the company heads into fiscal 2027 with what it described as “strong AI-driven momentum” and a plan to scale its AI factory platform business.
The CFO change comes as Aaron Johnson, who had been serving as interim CFO since July 2026, returns to his role as vice president of finance and accounting.
Cumming most recently served as CFO of Edgio. Before that, he was CFO of Cambium Networks, where he led the company through its 2019 initial public offering. His background also includes CFO roles at Kenandy and senior finance leadership positions at Atmel, Fairchild Semiconductor and National Semiconductor.
Separately, Penguin Solutions reported fourth quarter and full-year fiscal 2026 results and said it raised its full-year fiscal 2027 outlook. The company said management will discuss the results on a conference call and webcast later the same day. The market has reacted to these announcements by moving the company's shares -1.06% to a price of $60.71. For the full picture, make sure to review Penguin Solutions's 8-K report.
