Harmony Biosciences CEO Transition and Revenue Outlook

Harmony Biosciences said it will hand the chief executive role to Peter Anastasiou on Jan. 1, 2027, replacing Jeffrey M. Dayno, who will retire at year-end after nine years with the company, including a stint as chief medical officer.

Anastasiou is moving up from senior executive vice president and chief operating officer and will also join the board. Dayno will remain as a non-executive adviser through 2027.

The company also reiterated its 2026 outlook for Wakix net revenue of $1.0 billion to $1.04 billion. That implies a range of $40 million from low to high and leaves the midpoint at $1.02 billion.

Harmony said it is still on track to report multiple ascending dose study data for BP-205 in the fourth quarter of 2026 and said the timing of key commercial and pipeline milestones remains unchanged.

The leadership change comes as the company continues to lean on its pitolisant franchise, diversify its CNS pipeline and pursue value-creating acquisitions. Anastasiou said Harmony has a “strong commercial” base, a “diverse CNS pipeline” and a “strong balance sheet” that allows it to be self-funded.

Anastasiou brings more than three decades of biopharmaceutical experience. At Capsida Biotherapeutics, he helped raise more than $165 million and secured partnerships with AbbVie and Lilly. At Lundbeck, he oversaw a North American business of about 1,200 employees, annual net revenue above $1.5 billion and profit margins greater than 60%. Today the company's shares have moved -5.09% to a price of $38.23. For more information, read the company's full 8-K submission here.
