Accenture said it plans to keep using a “significant portion” of cash from operations for share repurchases in fiscal 2027, with the pace and size depending on share price, market conditions, cash and debt balances, acquisition activity and board discretion.
At Aug. 31, 2026, the company had $2.857 billion of contractual commitments tied to cloud hosting, software subscriptions, information technology services and other ordinary-course obligations it cannot cancel without a termination fee. Of that total, $1.068 billion falls due in less than one year, $1.445 billion in one to three years, $321 million in three to five years and $24 million after five years.
The company said it had not been required to make any significant payments under its off-balance-sheet indemnification arrangements.
On foreign exchange risk, Accenture said a 10% move in currency rates versus the U.S. dollar would have changed the fair value of its hedge portfolio by about $880 million at Aug. 31, 2026, compared with $722 million a year earlier. It also said approximately $291 million of net losses, after tax, recorded in accumulated other comprehensive loss are expected to be reclassified into cost of services within the next 12 months.
Accenture said interest-rate risk from borrowing and investing activities was not material as of Aug. 31, 2026.
Its non-marketable and marketable equity securities remain exposed to market risk, but the company said its long-term investments in privately held companies were not material to its financial position, results of operations or cash flows at year-end. As a result of these announcements, the company's shares have moved 4.63% on the market, and are now trading at a price of $224.92.
