Amplitude named Vijaye Raji, the founder of Statsig and now OpenAI’s CTO of Applications, to its board of directors as the company folds Statsig more tightly into its platform.
Raji launched Statsig in 2021 and built it around experimentation and measurement tools. The company said Statsig’s platform will continue operating under its own brand inside Amplitude, preserving the mission to make data tools more accessible to product teams.
Amplitude said the combined Amplitude-Statsig effort is aimed at helping teams understand customer behavior, run experiments, and build products with more confidence. The move comes as the company positions experimentation as a bigger part of its offering.
Raji’s background includes work at Microsoft on developer tools and software platforms. At OpenAI, he leads Ads, Growth, and core data and engineering functions.
Amplitude also highlighted its customer base, saying it serves more than 5,200 customers, including Atlassian, Replit, The Economist and Square. As a result of these announcements, the company's shares have moved 3.53% on the market, and are now trading at a price of $15.83. For more information, read the company's full 8-K submission here.
