Union Pacific said Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Jennifer Hamann will retire in early 2027 after 35 years with the company, ending a run that began in 1992 on the audit staff and culminated in her appointment as CFO in January 2020.
Hamann’s career spanned roles in Finance, Human Resources, Marketing and Sales, Investor Relations and Corporate Audit. As CFO, she helped steer the railroad through the COVID-19 pandemic and a period of operational transformation while also overseeing balance-sheet strengthening and capital-allocation changes.
She was the first woman to serve as Union Pacific’s CFO and received a Women MAKE Award for leadership in manufacturing and transportation. The company said it will announce succession plans later. Following these announcements, the company's shares moved 0.8%, and are now trading at a price of $288.71. For more information, read the company's full 8-K submission here.
