NioCorp Developments said it swung to a profit in the fiscal third quarter, reporting net income attributable to the company of $3.7 million, or $0.03 a share, for the three months ended Sept. 30, 2026. That compared with a net loss of $42.7 million, or $0.53 a share, in the same period a year earlier.
The improvement was driven largely by an $8.5 million non-cash gain tied to earnout shares and warrants classified as liabilities. In the year-ago quarter, those same instruments produced a $32.1 million non-cash loss.
Cash on hand rose to $405.1 million at Sept. 30, 2026.
Operating cash outflows for the quarter were $6.1 million, reflecting general and administrative expenses and costs tied to finalizing and issuing the technical and economic study for the Elk Creek critical minerals project. Investing outflows were $5.9 million, mainly for additional construction work on the mine portal at Elk Creek. The market has reacted to these announcements by moving the company's shares 3.82% to a price of $3.26. For the full picture, make sure to review NIOCORP DEVELOPMENTS's 8-K report.
