Unusual Machines lands $16.9M drone component order

Unusual Machines said it received a $16.9 million purchase order from PowerUS for American-made drone components, expanding a relationship that already included a purchase order of more than $5 million announced in April 2026 and a $30 million strategic equity investment disclosed in June 2026.

The new order covers motors, batteries, cameras and video transmitters for PowerUS’s unmanned systems portfolio. Compared with the April order, the latest purchase order is at least $11.9 million larger, or more than three times the size of the prior deal.

PowerUS said the components will support its autonomous and counter-drone systems as it scales production to meet demand. Unusual Machines said the order underscores the need for a domestic supply chain behind those systems.

The company manufactures flight controllers, electronic speed controllers, video systems, motors, FPV headsets, cameras, batteries and power systems, and said it is expanding U.S. manufacturing to serve defense, enterprise and commercial customers. Following these announcements, the company's shares moved 3.66%, and are now trading at a price of $16.98. Check out the company's full 8-K submission here.
