Bread Financial Reports 4.9% Increase in Average Loans

Bread Financial reported that its average credit card and other loans rose to $18.449 billion in July 2026 from $17.585 billion a year earlier, an increase of 4.9%.

End-of-period credit card and other loans increased to $18.543 billion from $17.594 billion.

Net principal losses fell to $106 million from $114 million, while the net principal loss rate improved to 6.80% from 7.63%.

Delinquencies also declined. Principal balances 30 days or more past due fell to $876 million from $931 million, even as principal credit card and other loans increased to $16.378 billion from $15.983 billion.
