Chubb Limited has reported a strong performance in the third quarter of 2025, with net income per share increasing by 22.6% to $6.99 and core operating income per share reaching a record high of $7.49, up 30.9% from the same period last year. The company's consolidated net premiums written increased by 7.5% to $14.9 billion, with property and casualty (P&C) net premiums written rising by 5.3% to $12.93 billion.
P&C underwriting income was a record $2.26 billion, up 55.0%, with a record combined ratio of 81.8%. Notably, P&C current accident year underwriting income excluding catastrophe losses also reached a record high of $2.18 billion, up 10.3% over the previous year. Life insurance net premiums written saw a substantial increase of 24.6% to $1.93 billion, with segment income growing by 14.2% to $324 million. The company's pre-tax net investment income also saw a notable uptick, reaching $1.65 billion, up 9.3%.
For the nine months ended September 30, 2025, Chubb reported a net income of $7.10 billion, or $17.61 per share, and core operating income of $6.97 billion, or $17.29 per share. Book value per share and tangible book value per share increased by 14.1% and 19.7%, respectively, from December 31, 2024.
