KKR's $214.6 Billion Private Equity AUM

Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. Inc. (KKR) recently released its 10-Q, revealing key financial and operational insights. As of June 30, 2025, KKR's Private Equity business line had $214.6 billion in assets under management (AUM), with $156.9 billion in traditional private equity, $39.6 billion in core private equity, and $18.1 billion in growth equity, including $4.5 billion in impact investments.

In the Real Assets business line, KKR managed $179.4 billion in AUM, with $90.5 billion in infrastructure, $82.5 billion in real estate (comprising $43.6 billion in real estate credit and $38.9 billion in real estate equity), $5.0 billion in energy, and $1.4 billion in unallocated commitments from a strategic investment partnership.

KKR's Strategic Holdings business segment consisted of ownership stakes in 18 companies acquired through its core private equity strategy.

KKR's asset management business encompasses five main lines: Private Equity, Real Assets, Credit and Liquid Strategies, Capital Markets, and Principal Activities. The firm earns fees, including management fees, incentive fees, and carried interest, by providing investment management and other services to its investment vehicles, managed accounts, and portfolio companies. KKR also generates transaction fees from capital markets transactions.

Additionally, KKR's insurance subsidiary, Global Atlantic, served over three and a half million policyholders as of June 30, 2025, offering retirement, life, and reinsurance products.

In terms of recent developments, KKR acquired a majority ownership stake in HealthCare Royalty Partners, a middle-market biopharma royalty acquisition company managing approximately $3 billion in assets.

The 10-Q provides detailed information on KKR's investment vehicles, their investment periods, commitments, uncalled commitments, invested amounts, realized and remaining costs, remaining fair value, and gross accrued carried interest for both the Private Equity and Real Assets business lines.
