Mondelēz International Appoints Volker Kuhn as President of Europe

Mondelēz International (NASDAQ: MDLZ) has announced the appointment of Volker Kuhn as the Executive Vice President and President of Europe, effective April 1, 2025. Kuhn will be replacing Vinzenz Gruber, who is also retiring from the company on the same date.

Kuhn, who will start on January 6, 2025, has a considerable track record in the consumer packaged goods industry. He previously served as the head of Reckitt's hygiene business, delivering significant top* and bottom-line performance acceleration through innovation, consumer centricity, and category growth. Prior to that, he spent 26 years at Procter & Gamble, leading various growth accelerations, turnarounds, and business transformations across different regions.

Under Gruber's leadership, Mondelēz International has made strides in advancing core brands such as Cadbury, Milka, and Oreo across Europe, while also expanding into adjacent categories like snack bars, cakes, and pastries.

In 2023, Mondelēz International reported net revenues of approximately $36 billion, solidifying its position as a leading player in the global snacking industry. The company's iconic brands include Oreo, Ritz, Cadbury Dairy Milk, Milka, and Toblerone, among others.

The incoming and outgoing executives both bring a wealth of experience and expertise to their roles, and their transitions are expected to ensure a smooth continuation of the company's growth and success in the European market. Following these announcements, the company's shares moved -0.7%, and are now trading at a price of $64.78. Check out the company's full 8-K submission here.
