DTE Energy appoints Casey Santos to board

DTE Energy (NYSE: DTE) has recently appointed Casey Santos to its board of directors, effective February 6, 2025. Santos, who brings over 25 years of experience, most recently served as the chief technology officer at Caliber and previously led Asurion's global technology and procurement teams as their chief information officer.

Prior to her work at Asurion, Santos held technology leadership roles in the finance industry and served as a strategy consultant with McKinsey, working with clients in the United States and Europe. She began her career as a NASA Flight Controller, supporting over 20 space shuttle missions, including the first MIR docking and Hubble Telescope repair missions.

Santos holds a Bachelor of Science degree in aeronautics and astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and dual master's degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, including a Master of Business Administration from the Wharton School and a Master of Arts in management from the Lauder Institute. She has been recognized for her contributions to the industry and community, receiving accolades such as being named one of the Top 100 Chief Tech Leaders to Watch in 2024 by WomenTech Network and the Nashville Technology Council's CIO of the Year in 2023.
