Amcor Plc and Berry Global Group Inc. have announced that they have received US antitrust clearance, marking a significant step forward in their proposed combination. The companies have confirmed that they have also obtained antitrust clearances from China and Brazil in recent weeks.
In terms of financial performance, in fiscal year 2024, Amcor generated $13.6 billion in annual sales from operations that span 212 locations in 40 countries. On the other hand, Berry Global has over 34,000 global employees across more than 200 locations.
The companies are on track to obtain the remaining regulatory approvals and expect the transaction to close in the middle of calendar year 2025. This development signifies progress towards the completion of the combination of the two companies.
