Cohen & Steers Executive Vice President Retires

Cohen & Steers, Inc. (NYSE: CNS) has announced the retirement of Daniel P. Charles, Executive Vice President and Head of Global Distribution. Charles, who has held sales leadership roles for 37 years, including nearly the last six years at Cohen & Steers, will be retiring. During his tenure, he oversaw the firm’s global wealth, institutional sales, and relationship management departments, as well as global marketing.

Under his leadership, U.S. distribution efforts were realigned to address clients' needs for real assets and alternative investment solutions. Additionally, the firm's distribution was expanded across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions.

Joseph Harvey, Chief Executive Officer of Cohen & Steers, acknowledged Charles' contributions, stating that he enhanced the firm's distribution capabilities and built and led global sales teams. The CEO also highlighted Charles' role in instilling a relationship culture and expanding marketing efforts.

Cohen & Steers, a leading global investment manager specializing in real assets and alternative income, was founded in 1986 and is headquartered in New York City, with offices in London, Dublin, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Singapore.

The firm has commenced a search for Charles' successor, and he will remain with the company to aid in the transition of his responsibilities.
