MarineMax to be Acquired for $1.5 Billion

MarineMax agreed to be acquired by Safe Harbor Marinas in an all-cash deal valued at about $1.5 billion, with shareholders set to receive $53.00 per share.

The offer price is 96% above MarineMax’s closing share price of $27.03 on Jan. 30, 2026, the last trading day before an unsolicited proposal to buy the company was disclosed, and 110% above its 90-day volume-weighted average price through that date.

The agreement follows a strategic review led by MarineMax’s board and management. The board unanimously approved the transaction and said it expects the deal to close by the end of 2026, pending regulatory approvals and shareholder approval.

MarineMax said the company has more than 120 locations worldwide, including over 70 dealerships and 65 marina and storage facilities. Its portfolio includes IGY Marinas, Fraser Yachts Group, Northrop & Johnson, Cruisers Yachts and Intrepid Powerboats.

Safe Harbor, a Blackstone Infrastructure portfolio company, operates as a marina and superyacht service business. Today the company's shares have moved 45.8% to a price of $52.02. For the full picture, make sure to review MARINEMAX INC's 8-K report.
