Nextracker appoints Chuck Boynton as new CFO

Nextracker, a global leader in intelligent solar tracker and software solutions, has announced the appointment of Charles “Chuck” Boynton as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective after he completes his current tenure in May 2024. Boynton brings over 30 years of finance and accounting experience, as well as significant expertise in the solar industry, having previously served as CFO of Logitech International S.A. and EVP and CFO of Plantronics, Inc.

Meanwhile, David Bennett, Nextracker's current CFO, will transition to the role of Chief Accounting Officer (CAO) once Boynton joins the company. Bennett, who has been with Nextracker since June 2021, previously served as CAO of Flex, Nextracker's prior parent company.

Nextracker's Founder and CEO, Dan Shugar, expressed excitement about Boynton joining the leadership team, noting his proven leadership in the solar and technology sectors. Shugar also praised Bennett's effective tenure as CFO, particularly during the company's IPO and recent spin-out from Flex, and anticipates that Bennett's experience will be valuable as Nextracker continues to scale globally.

Following these announcements, the company's shares moved -0.5%, and are now trading at a price of $59.19. If you want to know more, read the company's complete 8-K report here.
