Dynex Capital Appoints Marie Chandoha as Independent Director

Dynex Capital, Inc. (NYSE: DX) has appointed Marie Chandoha, the former President and CEO of Charles Schwab Investment Management, as an independent director, effective June 1, 2024. With this appointment, the company's Board of Directors now comprises seven directors, five of whom are independent.

Marie Chandoha brings close to 40 years of financial services leadership experience to Dynex Capital. In her previous role at Charles Schwab Investment Management, she doubled the business's assets under management to $400 billion, making it one of the top asset gatherers in the industry. She also has experience from her time at BlackRock and Wells Fargo Asset Management, where she drove innovation in the ETF market and grew and scaled the business from $1 billion to $16 billion in assets under management, respectively.
