SiriusPoint Appoints Jim McKinney as New CFO

SiriusPoint Ltd. has announced the appointment of Jim McKinney as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective June 3, 2024. McKinney brings with him over 20 years of experience as a publicly listed CFO and a track record of creating high-performing finance functions. He has also been instrumental in leading companies through transformations to position them for growth.

McKinney's most recent role was as the Executive Vice President and CFO of Kemper Corporation, where he led all aspects of its financial operations. Prior to that, he held the position of Executive Vice President and CFO for Banc of California and various senior positions at organizations including International Lease Finance Corporation and RBS Citizens Asset Finance.

McKinney will report to Chief Executive Officer Scott Egan as a member of SiriusPoint’s executive leadership team. Egan expressed confidence in McKinney's abilities, stating that his deep and broad experience as a publicly listed CFO, coupled with his understanding of operational excellence and transformation, will be invaluable as SiriusPoint continues to improve its performance and execute its plans to become a best-in-class insurer and reinsurer.

This appointment comes as Jim McKinney replaces the current Chief Financial Officer, Steve Yendall, who has led the finance function at SiriusPoint for the past 18 months.
